Plus Bryson energy site says that

a 'renewable heat incentive' will commence second half of 2012
- including those with access to natural gas.

( Annual Grant Aid based on system performance available up to 20 years and will apply to new and existing installations from September 2010)

I wouldn't hold my breath about getting RHI for mains gas. I don't think any decisions have been made about what will qualify for it but you never know.

With regard to the RHPP, the rates being offered over here are much better than those in England, Scotland and Wales which is nice.
