Is it worth paying this default?

Hi there,
I have the following...
£3000 overdraft still on my graduate account (charged £30-£60 per month but never go over)
Normal student loan
A default for a mobile phone around 4 years ago...£450.
My partner and I have the money together to get a mortgage in the near future. My credit score is VERY LOW...there's not many late payments etc on there so it's weird. I'm thinking it's the default..
My question is, should I pay the default in full or offer partial settlement? I've not done this before, should I call T-Mobile directly? Will this improve my credit score dramatically?
It seems like a lot of money to give for no reason if it's not gonna aid my credit score to get a mortgage. My partner's score is perfect but he doesn't earn enough to get the mortgage just in his name I don't think.
Any advice much appreciated!! :money:

a Settled default will be seen as slightly better then a default.
Can I ask are you on the electoral roll at your current property?0 -
Paying it won't make any difference really. A default is a default and that's how they'll look at it.0
