Weekly/ Monthly Payday

Options
Hi All,

Right after finally realising we sre in too much debt & realising we need to Budget we have decided against a dmp as believe we can do this ourselves if we tighten our belts.

Firstly we currently have two seperate accounts which mine & hubbys wages are paid into.

I have opened a joint account with nationwide In order for all our bills, card payments etc to come out off.

So the plan is to have direct debit in place on each of our personal accounts to the nationwide account for all bills then what ever is left is ours..

So Total Bills/debts etc =2356.00 monthly so £1178 each.
(Please see prev thread 'my sof' for bills etc)

The problem I have is that Im paid monthly around 21st each month where as hubby is paid every weds weekly..

The priority bills will all come out on the 28th - 1st of each month then cards generally in the first 7 days after.

Any ideas on easiset eay to do this.

Thanks very much

I'm paid weekly and DH monthly but we only have the single account.

I'd suggest that your wages are paid into a single account, then your own money which is leftover is transferred out in weekly payments. Otherwise the account will be short waiting for your OH's pay to come in during the course of the month.
