OP has already asked for help in another thread and yet not actually heeded any advice from over a month ago...
Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked
  • OK okay guys I am down on the ground.

Will try my best and not post questions regarding this again and take your advice.

we are not having a go at your for asking at all, we try and offer advice.

It just honestly doesnt seem like you clicked and had your LBM. My entertainment budget got cut this morning from £20 to £15 a month! because I cant afford more.

If you can answer the questions I asked I will be happy to offer any advice i can :)

Have updated my answer. I think I should obviously take everyone's advice but I clearly cannot cope with having a credit card or overdraft. I will cut up the Tesco card.

Is your request for help a wind up or serious?

You must look at your spending and realise why you can't afford to pay your debts. Make cuts until your debts are paid then start having fun again.

We used to have 6 holidays a year, now we may possibly go for a weekend's camping this year because we are serious about paying off our debts quickly. Our DFD is currently 4 years, we will do everything we can to reduce that. You could be debt free in less than 2 years then live again as you do now.

I am most definitely not trying to wind anyone up and I am being serious. Yes you are right I must just crack on.

Get a little notebook (as cheap as possible)

Then write down in it every last penny that you spend for the next month.

Then you can spot the latte habits - that £2.50 drink that costs you £625 a year. Along with the bought lunches, the taxi home after a night out, etc.

How do you get to work? How do you get to nights out?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

If you are 100% serious about this then I would suggest

    1) stopping personal trainer but if you feel you need the outlet carrying on at the gym.
    2) if you do not already - do your food shop online, £25/30 a week should be more than enough for one person.
    3) put £30 in an envelope a week for entertainment don't use anymore than it.
4)contact CCCS and see what they suggest can do SOA on there and they will discuss options with you.
    5) Cut up the cards - that simple will stop your debt getting bigger...

Just stopping those few things I mentioned first will save you £345 A MONTH!!

then taking out the DJ lessons thats another £200. THere is no selling of anything involved just little changes.

Sadly if you can't do these your situation will get worse before better x

  • Do not cut up the cards

Phone the banks and close the accounts.

that way that line of credit is closed

you will not have to pay it all off immediately, you just have to keep making the min payment (or more) until it's paid off!
  • 1. Sell my macbook. I could get about £700 for it and then I could use my works macbook as I can take it home when I please.

**The contract is £15/month but I texted my parents overseas a lot this month.
***I did buy clothing but it went onto the Tesco card.
****This includes starbucks or any luxuries other than groceries.
Could not bring myself to sell MacBook

Your parents need to set up a SKYPE in number (it means you can call them abroad (even on their mobile) for the price of a local rate call (0181) I am no expert, but my family who are abroad do that so I can keep in touch easily.

You could not bring yourself to sell MacBook, Its a computer, you have the use of another one.

You really do need to just take advice, you have not taken advice yet and have got more in debt, so you ask for more advice, you get the same advice but will you take it?
