Tax Banding in scotland

Hi all ,
It seems that the people of England are having better success with their valuation queries.There doesn't seem to be many successes that i can see that are in Scotland.
I appealed and was told my appeal was unsuccessful i appealed again and have been told it is invalid as it was not maid within the period laid down by statute.My appeal is now being sent to valuation Appeals committee for a hearing. Can anyone tell me if i am fighting a loosing battle despite following the process sugested and i would state my house was originally wrongly banded.Is this problem perculiar to Scotland only?

Hi Cinder,
Cant say I am having much luck. With North Lanarkshire Council and been through the apparent appeal hearing, which didnt actually take place.
Despite living in a 2 bed house and being in the band above my 3 bedroom neighbour I am still waiting 6 months on!!
All I would say is dont let the appeal hearing put you off - I called to ask them when it was and they immediately started talking about when they could visit my house. Granted I am still waiting for this to happen but it did get me on another stage.
