    Hello :o

I've been so blasted busy. I'm here now because I've worn myself out and have been in bed since Saturday night. I hope everyone is okay, I have no hope of catching up.

I'm sorry to hear that Masomnia. It's a pretty big shock to all of us when something like this happens to good people, but of course, awful when you've shared so much time with them.

Hi ya DG, you have been missed :(

We finally have the boiler back on but it is not circulating properly with only a couple of rads getting hot so I guess an airlock somewhere. The current builders who were so good when we were their only job last year are totally carp when they have other jobs on :(
    I think....

Lol, that was in a reclamation yard. :D

The ideal thing i have found is to snap as we go, making photograph long list to short list at home.

Has doozerboy seen these? I'm so sorry I'm not on the project to help you out with your requests, I'm stretched in so many directions, not least with him being away. I hope he's behaving! I know why you love these things so I'm happy to put a word in if he ever gets difficult about unusual requests. He hasn't mentioned reclaimed toilet pans to me, but he's had enough unique requests from me to upcycle things that he knows how to think outside the box!

    Darling, you just get better!

Yes, he and the architect BOTH said no to those! I don't want to put something in that does not work and if they say no i listen. If i knew better we would not have them on the project!

He is behaving excellently. you can be very proud of him and his colleagues.

My mother put it brilliantly, they are building happiness and good nature into the building. Even on the hardest most stressful days they all come back smiling and good natured. Its almost unbelievable how nice they all are, eecial.y on the hard days.

Big recommendation here for them. They have been so easy, and even enjoyable to have a bout the place. As so eone fiercely
Rotective of space this is pretty awesome i think to thik that. Its also been a ruddy stressful summer for us and it would be easy to get stressed over the works, but instead i find i just don't worry. I feel its in safe hands....and i have other fish to fry.:D

Doozerboy and his guys are among the nicest people i have met. We are SO lucky.

The other thing i love? They make no bones about some things. Most builders don't say 'never done that before so its a bit of an experiment for me' but its a relief, because when that happens i know there is honesty and frankness, and aomething that might be fun and challanging for them too.

They help hedgehogs out of holes, give cats boosts up walls they cannot quite jump onto and bring biscuits for the dogs.

They smile, sing (terribly) and apologise for language they think might shock me ( but doesn't, i say it with less embarrassment and more practice though i try not to

I am going to send our doozer (girl) some pictures tomorrow, so you might all be bored with some again.:)

Arrggghhhh...trying to do my CV and I haven't a clue where to begin, everything has changed and as it is for employment back in the corporate sector rather than schools based, it is all the harder.

Better start at the beginning, I have come to the conclusion (whether this is sensible or not I don't know), that the boys are almost at the point where they can be left and one would hope that certainly by next summer, they certainly will be...so it is time for me to start looking around for full time jobs in my old sector in the hope that I can secure something by next summer (or fingers crossed, before).

I have seen two vacancies at my old company I would like to do and have a wealth of experience in but I am just so nervous!

Hmm, cup of tea and time to ruminate on what to put......
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

How does this sound as a personal statement?

"After spending the last 6 years dealing with the needs of my three children, two of whom have autism, I believe it is now time for me to return to work as their demands on me have lessened.
In the intervening years, I have built up a website forum which requires the ability to be able to work to a very tight deadline, manage a team of people (approx. 60 team members), work as part of that team, deliver a high quality, accurate service whilst also providing good customer service to our service users, all skills which I believe are highly transferable to a working environment.
I do have a disability which requires the use of a crutch but I believe that this will not have an adverse impact on my ability to do the vacancy for which I am applying for, as I need no modifications to my work station, work methods or hours."

    Honest feedback please.....
