TESCO's Hidden price increases

has anyone else noticed that from this week, tesco's have removed ALL pre packed fruit selections (previoulsy 350 - 400grams at £2 each ) and re packaged them with HALF the weight, but still charge £1.50. This is an increase of £1 to purchase the same weight - or an extra £5 per week to buy -£250 a year for one person

I refuse to buy pre-packed fruit as I'm not going to pay an extra 50% for some non recyclable packaging that I don't want.

Bought some bananas there once. All that was left were pre-packed bananas for 99p. I removed the unnecessary bag (not only unnecessary but making the fruit sweat so decreasing shelf life) & when I came to pay got charged less than 50p for them.

Now thats a good idea, I like the concept of removing packaging and being charged less, lol:p

I'll guess the OP knows that, but it doesn't harm to let others know what Tesco are up to.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

That practice is very likely to get you escorted from the store for theft. I wouldn't advise it at all.
