Credit record clear, want to settle the debt

My credit record has had all the debts removed as the defaults were more than 6 years ago.

I want to settle the debts, to avoid them harassing me/doing searches etc. If I make a full and final payment, will this then appear on my credit file as a settled account, and stay there for another 6 years? or because it has dropped off what happens?

Whats the point of me making an effort to settle the debts if they can re-register it?

* panicking*

    Can I ask when did you last acknowledge or pay any of these debts? Because after 6 years of nothing they do become statute barred meaning legally they cannot be enforced.
    Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
    They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
    Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

    Hi,

    You are right to be cautious. As fermi says once the defaults are off your credit records they won't come back whatever you do.

    However is the debts are still legally due the creditors can still pursue you for them, through the courts or otherwise.

    If you were last paying them in 2009, the statute of limitations will not have kicked in yet and will not give you any protection for at least another 3 years or so.

    Best Regards
