My husband has a tomtom one & loves it so simple to use.
I borrow it sometimes & can only agree.
    They are so user friendly.

The Navman F20 is a fab unit. Cheap but feature packed - includes speed cams by default and very good sat pickup.

Best I have seen/come across and a snip for between 120-140 pounds.
    Play up Pompey!

Garmin i3 is a cracking little unit. Amazon were doing it for £90 just before Christmas.
Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.

Every sat nav has good and bad points. Some will have an interface you love and some you hate. It would be best to go to somewhere like Currys or Halfords and ask for demonstrations of each one to let you see if you like the layout/feel of the unit then when you narrow it down to a few ask here which might be the better one..

https://www.medionshop.co.uk has a refurbished Medion PNA100 for £99.99. It is a PDA as well as a Sat Nav, comes with Maps of UK and Western Europe, completely portable, has a pedestrian mode. We've had one for 2 years, been all around France with it - can't praise it enough. Of course everyone on this thread will slag it off and recommend a Tom Tom - if you've got the money - fine.

New one from Aldi looks good: http://uk.aldi.com/images/data_product/165518275345e2f8939b5eb.pdf

I agree, bought one at the weekend (£124.95 order on-line and pick-up in store @ pcworld). Excellent little unit.

I got the Navman for 113ish from Currys. It was 119 pounds and I used a 5% off code. You can get the code from Hotdeals.

I agree, I have owned one of these for about 12 months and now swear by it (not at it!). Software is released fairly regularly which can be downloaded from t'internet and you can also download the speed camera database for only £2.00!

I will be emigrating soon and getting a new one in the States with pre-loaded North America maps but I think I'll need to go to a store first to see which one is best that side of the pond.

I bought an older version of the TomTom ONE at £240 and it was value for money then! Now it's about £100 cheaper and half the size! Wouldn't think twice about getting one of them.
