I have to second HENRY by numatic. He is superb, we have 3 small children and a springer spaniel and he cleans everything up with ease.
I wish numatic had a hand in building my husband !!

    good luck !!

    DON'T BUY A DYSON!!!

Seriously, I've had 2 Dysons, so has my mom, and after you wash the filter for the first time, the suction is awful! (yes we did follow the instructions lol). Miele are good, so are Henrys...

I agree with that. I've had 2 and both lost suction no matter how clean they were kept.

We use a Henry at work, and he is the bees knees. Best wortker in the business:p ....seriously, he picks up everything, never moans, we do flooring and he is always helpful in clearing loose debris before we fitnew floors. Poor thing though, he never gets a good clean himself. 3 years old now and his suction is as good as ever..........definitely worth buying, and with 20% off at comet it works out at about £75 plus delivery:p
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!

I brought a Vax Bubble from Asda for £47 last year. It's bagless, lightweight and is a really powerful upright with all of the required attachements. I've been so impressed with it especially as I'm disabled so the lightweight action makes 'hoovering' easy. A ral bargain that I'd definately recommend.

Henrys are great IMHO. You can also get a brush designed to remove cat and dog hair for them (its called something like "airo"). I've ordered one and get it tomorrow - so if anyone is interested I'll post a few comments - my lab seems to be loosing all her hair again....
