If this of use to one person then great...
If anybody, like me, works in two or more different jobs then you will no doubt be paying NI on both wages. If so you can claim your duplicate payments back. All you need to do is send in a p45 from each employer for each year you want to claim to

I got 02/03, 03/04, 04/5 & 05/06 totalling almost 2k. It will dpend on your earnings and what you pay as to how much you get back.
I am not sure of the rules of how long back. You do not always need your p45s either. If you have lost your p45 ask the employers to give you copies of your last payslips for the relevant year then this shows how much NI you have paid that year to date.
Please note you cannot claim 06/07 until after 5th April 2007..... I already tried.
Good look, let us know if it works for anybody

This would only apply if your TOTAL earnings were in excess of the NIC upper limit (around £30k) - if you had two jobs, earning say £10k each, then yes would pay 2 lots of NIC, but nothing would be overpaid and you wouldn't be due a refund. A good reminder though.0

Thanks WHA
So it should read "Earn over 30k, have two or more jobs" don't forget to claim your NI back.
I was so suprised when my colleague told me I could do this. I assumed other people like me earning 30k+ must be unaware.
Anyway, if there are any I ams ure they will catch this linkOh how I dream............0
