I have over 10,000 rewards on e-rewards, what now???

hello all,

Like many people using moneysaving, I signed up to a number of questionnaire sites to up my income. One of those stes includes e-rewards.co.uk
I now hyave over 10k in points, sounds alot, but wantedto ask the following:

1) is 10k worth a points alot????

2) I see from the website you can only use the points on british airways, does these ponts turn into airmiles????

3) if they are airmiles is it one point per mile????

4) I want to fly to the carribean how many points/miles will i need?

as yo can see i know very little about the scheme, any information would be greatly received.

thans in advance

E-Rewards allow you to convert your points to a number of different rewards schemes such as Virgin, Hilton etc.

It is not 1-1 points to miles, it is generally a tiered scheme such that the more points you have the proportionally more miles you get. 10,000 points would get you 3,000 Virgin Flying Club miles for example.

You need to speak to the airline in question, most of their websites have the ability to tell you what the points/miles required is. Even with reward flights you do have to pay the taxes and fees which can mean it is very bad value to use points to get the whole flight. Sometimes it is more expensive than simply to buy the flights!

It can often be better to use the points to upgrade your seats but you will still need to pay the tax difference.

For example, we are flying out to Dubai in a couple of weeks and used 20,000 Virgin Atlantic miles to upgrade 2 tickets both ways to Upper Class which technically saved us about £3,000 BUT if we hadn't got the points saved up then we would have been able to go to Dubai business class with a slightly lower airline with a single stop for only about £400 more than what we paid.

well done for making 10000 points, i have just under 8000 and no surveys in the last few months but have cashed at least 2000 previously. I think the hilton deal depending on location is the best.
