Hi All
Looking to source a splashback for my electric hob, and thinking of black glass. I need one 60cm wide by 70cm high. Anyone able to point me to a stockist in Northern Ireland? I am based in North Down.

Thank you
John

I got a 50cm x 90cm stainless steal splashback from Ikea, I could of done with larger but 2 of them would of been too big, the Ikea one was £20, but their glass ones are cheaper I think. Currys, B&Q etc wanted £90+ for a splashback a bit bigger

Ebay have quite a good range but most won't send to NI, those that do imposed a massive Norn Iron Tax
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

I think it's more to do with an "Incompetent Couriers Smashing It" Tax

Have looked at IKEA website and do not see any glass splashbacks - just laminate panels. Anyone have any ideas?

Very good quality for a tenner :T you could buy 2 and get one cut by a tiler :)

Thanks Travellinglight - I have an integrated hood which matches my cupboards.

Thanks Steveymp - am keen to get something in one solid piece - the IKEA is a melamine board and could be sawn but just don't want a joint across it.

Warmhands - I think you pointed me in the right direction - just called superglazenireland and they will make to order in 6mm toughened glass to my dimensions and in any colour - all I have to do is provide the RAL number for the colour I require.

Thank you everyone - good old MSE!!

Could you let us know the final price and dimensions of the one you get John, having a second look at mine and there are a few splashes on my wall on the area not covered by my splashback :o Her indoors may want a larger one and if superglaze can make these to order it may just be what I need to live a quiet life (well for a day at least).

I asked for a price for a piece of 6mm toughened glass 60cm by 70cm and I was quoted £88 which includes VAT. It is fitted using mirror glue which they supply (at a cost I imagine) and I presume I have to collect from Portadown
