Black Marks Under Arm Pits of Washed Shirts!!

Options
I hope someone can help. I washed my shirts in a coloured wash yesterday as normal. However both a relatively new shirt and an old shirt now have black marks under both arm pits! I'm at a bit of a loss as everything else in the wash was ok. Washded them again today with oxi clean in as well and they cam out the same!

Any advice would be gratefully recieved!.:T

It sounds like some kind of reaction to deodrant.

    What colour are the shirts?

They are blue and white checked and also a blue and white striped. My wife reminded me that it also happened to a new purple shirt a few weeks ago

it's not from wearing something over them is it? I've got a denim jacket that turns white t-shirts blue under the arms and around the neck, particularly if I get caught in the rain.
  • Afraid not. These are formal shirts, so I always wear them with the same suit jacket.
