Dettol no touch hand wash system

Not sure if this is the right place for my query but here goes.......

My system is giving 3 measures of soap every time it's used. Rather than just throw it away as broken - is there any way to fix it so that it only gives one measure at a time?

Probably a major operation to refurbish the measuring head.

However, would it be possible to dilute the concentrate 2:1 as you refill container ? Three times as much 'stuff' at a third of the concentration ought to have much the same effect as 'normal'. Or of course, dilute it even more for a greater saving.

Throw it away as a waste of time. With the touch system you wash your hands after you touch it, so whats the point of a no touch system.
    Some people will buy anything.

Bris - I feel obliged to use this as it was part of a gift set from a friend... however I am being very :money: about it and refillling it was all my unloved shower gels and shampoos (now diluted as per above) rather than buying refills. .... reckon another few months in the bathroom and then I can get rid ;)

  • You seem to have money to waste if you bought this stupid device in the first place - buy another one !

If it's under a year old - return under warranty.
otherwise, try new batteries - some things get flaky on low power.

I got some when they were on offer and none seem to produce too much soap.

Diluting seems a good solution, though if you have nothing to do one day

Perhaps your reading isn't up to scratch - the item was a gift as stated in the post directly above yours!!!

Thanks for the link - I've currently got some unloved shampoo in it I'm using up as hand wash but when I have more time I'll certainly have a play with the insides :)
