I thought I'd seen this on here somewhere but can't find it. I bought Country Life butter at Iceland yesterday which was 2 blocks for £2. Use by date was 19 July. I think that's a great price. Hope it helps someone.

It's £1 a pack at Asda too and, unlike my Iceland, they also keep the unsalted version which is what I buy.0

That's good too. In my Asda this morning it wasn't £1. I get a bit fed up with Asda as it often doesn't have the things mentioned on here. Its not a very big one. It didnt have the cushelle either that's mentioned on here. Glad u got what u wanted tho as I don't recall seeing unsalted in Iceland.0 -

Farm foods do Wykes Farm English butter for 2 for £2 also. I think it is nicer than the Country Life and Anchor. I think that the Anchor is too salty, but that's just my taste.Jane

Iceland have Wyke Farm butter at £1 each today. I know it's the same as the normal 2 for £1 offer, but some people might not want to buy 2. It's lovely butter.0

Just noticed Lidl have Lurpak spreadable if that's anyone's thing. 500g for. £1.99. The price of butter is an obsession in our family as I had to pay £1.38 a few weeks ago in an emergency! Never again! Gma likes Lurpak, sis prefers block butter so I can please both this week!0

We're starting to see a reaction against the price ramping of butter, I suspect.
The absurd hike from around £1 to £1.50 or more perpack is starting to crumble, or should that be 'melt'?0
