Hi Alimac
How is motherhood going?
I could never sleep when baby was asleep, I've never been able to sleep through the day unless ill so the first few weeks i was a mess
Had my pay this month which was half normal pay and half SMP £50 short from what i worked out so got to ring work and find out what's what. Best go & do it now while LO is napping.
Hope alls well

Hi Darkphaery,
I am absolutely loving motherhood! But i am exactly the same, I rarely get a nap during the day. There is always something else to be done and I never seem to get on top of things!
Did you get your money sorted out? I am really struggling this month, my first mat pay covered only 3 weeks rather than a full month. Nightmare! As a result I have only made the bare minimum payments to my CC's this month ( sig updated). Really hope next month is different otherwise I have no idea how we will cope with this level of debt if I go back part time.
Since my last post:
- spent as little time as poss - still on target for my petrol to last until next payday
- organised 2 free trial baby classes for DS and I before I spend any money on something that doesn't suit us
- made packed lunches for the hubby every day
- one poll surveys ( now at £9.95)
- had a lovely lunch out courtesy of my sis
- kept last weeks shop to the bare minimum -£35.87
- continued breastfeeding
Unfortunately I have:
- not yet organised stuff to sell on ebay - must do this this weekend!
- bought a pair of AGE 2 (!!!!) shorts for DS ( who is 9 weeks old!!!) because they were gorgeous and reduced from £25 to £9 - great saving but did I really need to buy something or 2 years time???
- considered having my car valeted tomorrow for £10. - it's a real mess, I have no energy for it and hubby can't do it due to recent surgery. Hmmmm......1.Virgin CC: [STRIKE]£9432.00[/STRIKE] £10290.00
2.RBS CC: [STRIKE]£3254.62[/STRIKE] £3029.61
3.M&S CC: [STRIKE]£1262.11[/STRIKE] £464.95
4.Next: [STRIKE]£400.00[/STRIKE]. £280.00
TOTAL = [STRIKE]£14348.73[/STRIKE] £14064.560 -
Hi
Got my money kind of sorted, they only pay SMP in full weeks so it works out that I only got paid 28 days out of 30. It will eventually work itself out so I do get the extra days but not until my pay day on 30th December! Just glad it wasn't more than £50 or I would be totally panicking! Means in December I'll get a full months normal pay and 1 week SMP which will be nice, nicer if it came before Christmas but never mind
Hope you're getting on ok x0 -
