Using face wipes just at night, is it still bad for your skin?

I tend to use face wipes at night because its more convenient but I do use a face wash or cleanser in the mornings. Is this still bad for your skin? I keep hearing about face wipes not cleaning properly or drying your skin but surely if you moisturise afterwards at night and then cleanse your face in a morning it should be OK?

I don't want to wreck my skin but I just can't be bothered with cotton wool, cleanser and eye make up removers at bed time.

Your skin regenerates at night so thats why its ideal to clease properly at night. Cleansing in the morning is fine but your skin doesn't have long to breath before you apply make up again.
Wipes don't always remove all your make up and can leave a grubby residue on your skin.

I can't be bothered with cotton wool, cleaners, EMU remover toner ect at bedtime so i use a cleansing balm.

Massage the balm all over your face and then remove with a warm flannel. As quick as a wipe and cleanses far better.

My skin is my one beauty, and I am afraid that it really is important to clean properly.
Recently I was in a rather makeshift set-up and used face wipes for a month or so - I really noticed the difference.
Everyone's skin is different, but I use a simple cleanser, and wash it off, which really suits me and is cheaper than toning.

Someone on here recently recommended this website and I came across the link to cleansing your face properly http://www.lisaeldridge.com/video/12596/make-up-removal/ It made me feel guilty and I've been doing this since. I think I can see a difference and certainly some spots that I've been having a problem with have cleared up. I would recommend it....I previously used wipes btw and still use them to remove excess eye makeup in the morning.

I used to get awful acne and was obsessed with cleansing but still had awful spots. I started using just wipes and toner to cleanse at night and a face wash only in the morning and my skin is the clearest it's ever been. As a result I no longer need foundation so I dont feel like I need a deep cleanse at night anyway. If I go out and wear heavier make-up then I still remove it properly with a balm and flannel but this is only occasionally.

I do wonder if all that cleansing morning and night was just too much for my skin for all those years.

It's only bad for your skin if it's bad for 'your' skin. Some skins will be fine with a cleansing wipe at night.

I don't use wipes at night as they do leave a residue on me but I do a similar thing with a cotton pad soaked in Bioderma or La Roche Posay's Micellaire water - takes off makeup really easily, including waterproof mascara, doesn't leave any residue and isn't a faff at all.

In the mornings, I do a proper cleanse of my face in the shower with La Roche Posay's Lipikar Syndet foaming body cleanser (ideal for sensitive skin or eczema). This routine works great for my skin, gentle but effective.

I don't cleanse in the morning I must say, I just give my face a wash in the shower - though I do use lush's angels on bare skin if I have time. And if I'm not showering I don't bother washing my face at all :)
