Clean up bad credit report

Is there any other way to pay for a service to clean up a not very good credit report? I thought these days debts were good and everyone is encouraged to be as in debt as possible. I feel with all the nasty letters and phone calls I was not good to take on so much debt.

Are you a bankrupt? If not then you would be better off talking to the guys on the Debtfree Wanabe board about paying off the debts you have if they are not to great. Depending on the amount of debt and your income there are several ways you can clear the debts. The debt charities will be able to help you go through your options

Can I ask how bad it is, time is a great healer but also ensure you settle things correctly. a settled default is better then not settled (marginally.)

Late payments will age with time and get better, but it does take time. With 32 lates on my file, I'm looking forward to 2015 when I'll have just 3 left!

Thanks mate very encouraging. Time is a great healer I will just be patient.
