Do you always get offered an overdraft?

I am pretty new to the UK and I therefore have no credit check here yet.
Will I get offered an overdraft no matter what bank I go to? How much do they usually offer you, 100? And is it possible to get more than that considering they have no credit check to go after?
I know overdraft isn't an ideal solution but it would be extremly helpful at the moment.

New to the UK and already looking for credit!!!0 -
No. You're highly unlikely to get an overdraft.0

Nope, nadda, no, niet and not a hope.
It's still 50/50 though."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
If you are new to an address as well as job, it will be harder to get the better accounts that give automatic overdrafts with their current account.
For example first direct give £250 free overdraft and another £250 interest overdraft, but not everyone gets accepted for these accounts.
Do you have an account already open in the UK? Your best bet is to try this bank, although it is likely that interest may be high!0 -
You may have difficulty getting any more than a basic bank account at this stage.
An overdraft from day one is less than likely.
Incidentally, what country have you come from as I fancy going there and getting some credit if it is that easy?0 -
Only way is if you have say a hsbc account in the country you came fromDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

And if you are Greek you may even have a bigger problem getting an overdraft!0

Although in the past few years they've had little difficulty getting really big overdrafts and increasing them big time!0 -
