Seeing as we're in the middle of a heatwave we're having a BBQ tomorrow. I have my sisters kids visiting so there will be 6 of us  Has anyone spotted any good deals on BBQ food around ? being a debt free wannabe sooner rather than later but still having to feed 6 tomorrow isn't going to be easy!
Any help appreciated

Make kebabs.
Marinade the chicken in something delicious - lemon and rosemary is nice.
Cut up some chicken, peppers, onions and mushrooms.
Thread onto skewers, being light on the meat and heavy on the veg.
You can make 10 skewers with 2 chicken breasts and they're filling but don't taste like they've been done on the cheapDo you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

Hi,
We had an impromptu barbie on Thursday. I needed something quick, cheap, tasty & filling as my youngest stepson is at that stage where they eat for England & still ask for more.I am worried that, like his father, he will not grow out of this! I got bread rolls from Aldi (49p for a pack of 6), a huge tray of mince (£ 2.80 something for about 800g I think), those lovely long red peppers & some soft garlic & herb cheese. I stuffed the peppers with the cheese & wrapped them in foil. I already had some courgettes which I sliced lengthways & painted with olive oil & dried herbs. I made burgers with the mince, just added some dried herbs, Worcester sauce, chopped garlic and some breadcrumbs (I always keep stale bread slices in the freezer & make them into bread crumbs to use in meatballs and burgers as they stop them drying out too much during the cooking). I also bought a bag of oven chips for 89p & although not strictly barbecue, these did help to stretch things a bit.
For pudding we had bananas and chocolate in foil with squirty cream which was great because the bananas were past their best and it saved me the job of making a cake with them this weekend.
Have a lovely barbie!0
