Nail Technician training - should i go for it?

theres an offer near me (Norfolk) for nail technician training - acrylics, gelish etc for £200 and i'm wondering whether its a good idea as a mobile business.
how much are the raw materials i'll need if i do go on to have my own little business?
should i go for it or are there already too many people around offering this?
from a 40 year old mum of two who's never really known what career i'd like but has always been in admin roles - now needs a change :j

If nothing else, it sounds like training people to do these things is a good business.Wanted a job, now have one. :beer:0

You would be looking at arounf £100 for the heater plus about £50 for a very small starter stock. The course sounds about the right price but usually they require either some experience in beaty therapy or a prior qualification such as NVQ. Check with the provider exactly what is on the course & the entry requirements. Also, check if you have a branch of Capital Hair & Beauty near you. They are a trade only supplier but givve good advice and offer training courses. They will help you cost up a starter kit & advise on the course required. You can earn half decent money providing you have the clients, thats the hard bit at the moment.0
