Underpaid issue, please help

Hi everyone,

Mrs Moose recently discovered that for the last 3 years she has been underpaid (2 hours per week). We hadn't noticed because her pay is subject to a number of different performance bonuses according to what she sells and so is never the same each month to allow a baseline comparison.
After 6 weeks she is still not being paid correctly and the back pay is taking a while to resolve and whenever she rings up to chase it, the person involved is not available and has not (so far) returned any calls. It has been 6 weeks and after leaving another message today, Mrs Moose (and I ) are getting quite angry at the lack of progress but also the lack of updates which is just plain rude. We are talking approximately £2000 after tax so not a small sum.
She wants to start a grievance on Monday and I am prepared to go down and confront her manager about it but realise this is probably counter productive.
Does anyone have any advice, she is not in a union so is not sure of how to make progress with this. It is a national company with many employees, HR dept etc so not a tin pot outfit.
Thank you in advance

Hold the grievance, for the meantime, your not at that stage yet.

Suggest to Mrs Moose, she generates a paper-trail by e-mailing her line manager requesting that the arrears of pay are actioned asap - I assume management aren't contesting the point.

Make that definitely and likely to make things a whole lot worse, and you will be closer to the mark. It may be rude, it may not be professional, but one has to assume Mrs Moose wants both the money and to still be in her job at the end of this? Your intervention won't support achieving this.
