Certificate of Satisfaction

Hi
I've finally cleared one of my CCJs and have received a letter to that effect. It also asserts that to have my credit file marked as settled, I must obtain this Certificate of Satisfaction at a cost to myself of £15.00.
Is there any way around this? Obviously I'm a little miffed as I have already paid all of the court fees/charges and the complete debt. It has rather annoyed me!
Thanks
Adam.

nope no way aroundDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

check with the court. they should update the registry trust to sho the debt is satisfied without you paying the fee? i think you only have to pay the fee if you want them to issue an official certificate?

If you have paid a judgment you should contact the relevant county court. They will arrange for the record to be updated and we should be told within two weeks.
If you want proof that the judgment is satisfied you can ask for a Certificate of Satisfaction,
ie you can have the 1st done without paying for the 2nd

From 6th April 2006 when the court are provided with evidence that a judgment debt has been paid in full, that court should notify us to amend the register. When the debt has been repaid outside one calendar month of the judgment date the register will show the entry as "satisfied". You may also apply in writing to the relevant court for a Certificate of Satisfaction enclosing:0 -
Agh spot on. Don't need a certificate as I'm happy for my credit file to simply show it as satisfied. Thanks,
