Hello all,
I'm quite a newbie to os but have already benefitted from many of your tips - Thanks:T
I have been in this house a year and it really suffers from condensation and consequently I end up with mould on my window sills.
Is there anything you can advise a) to remove it and b)to stop it coming back?
Any wise words gratefully received!

you need to look at why you have the condensation. is it poor ventilation, tumble dryer, drying clothes indoors...damp?
i'd probably try a solution of bleach to get rid of it...but it will come back if you dont sort out the cause.x x x0 -
a) Vinegar/soapy liquid solution for removal. (Vinegar is acidic and mould does not like acid.)
b) To stop it coming back you need to find the source and eliminate.
Good luck.0 -
I find a solution of bleach and water wiped down over the area will help keep the mould and mildew away. Only a weak solution is needed - one capful of bleach to a bowl full of water.0

Thanks for your tips, i think it is poor ventilation. We moved in almost a year ago and didn't notice a problem as due to the good weather we had the windows open all the time. This has only started since the weather cooled off and the windows all shut again. The windows are wood double glazed.

I've put bleach and water in a spray bottle and spray round my windows every few days and then wipe over with kitchen towel.0
