6 months in ...........

Cannot believe its almost 6 months since I went BR, it hasn't been an easy thing to go through but of course necessary, I shall be glad when its behind me. We've no IPA and the house was repo'd.
1 - Does everyone get a new SOA to fill in before discharge and does this ask employment details again or just expenditure??
2 - Our income over the past 6 months didn't meet what was on the SOA as the bonus was lower and my tax credits got stopped which I haven't informed the OR about, forms doesn't say you have to if income drops. My OH salary may increase in new job due to commission by around £200pm which will only even out the loss of tax credits and previous bonus, over the course of the year the average income should be what was on the original SOA but if you are talking on paper, his income may well go up.
3 - In this case do we need to inform the OR as his income has gone up even though over the year the household income probably wont be any higher than what was on the original SOA, we have really struggled the past 6 months and could do now to catch up on clothes and other items we have missed out on.
Any help geatly appreciated, like I say be glad when its all over but at the same time probably the best thing we could do. Couldn't have done it without MSE, that reminds me haven't seen the lovely INAN for ages x

Not everyone, you may get sent IPOQ (I&E questionnaire, this is sent to you from the OR office if your considered for ED) after which the OR can write to the creditors to say that they will be applying for the ED and request any objections. Even then ED is never guaranteed.

An IPA works both ways if income decreases or increases tbh.

If I were you, I would, as you say expenses may have been left off old SOA and other expenses may have increased too.

Hope that helps and I hope INAN is OK too.
Best wishes

Thanks for this, we both did not receive an ipa. His rise would only be averaging out what we lost over the past 6 months where we have not been able to use some of the agreed allowances for their intended purposes and have had to use them for things we missed off the soa or put very low.
We didnt know tax credits threshold would drop nor did we realise it would be so low when I went part time last year so all in all, things havent gone to plan and we have totally struggled for 6 months. Dont particularly want to rock the boat at this stage in the year if there is no need so any further advice greatly appreciated as we don't want to doing anything wrong either.
Thanks again.0 -
any change you should tell them about, up down or otherwiseHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -
Thanks for he help guys.
My BR paperwork clearly states to inform them of any increase in income, doesnt mention decrease anywhere and as we are not on an IPA there seemed little point telling them TCs had gone down.
During my OR interview, I was advised to only contact them should there be any 'substantial' increases to our income, was that because our SOAs were at rock bottom, who knows each case seems to be treat differently.0
