Outgoings?

I added to an old thread but think it got lost.

Situation is this

joint applicants but only using salary of 1 as my employment is at risk of redundancy

HSBC have asked for a list of outgoings and bank statements (obviously). Our biggest outgoing is childcare, but this isn't applicable if I am not working. Ie it is attached to my salary that they are not considering.

Do we put it down? I am envisioning they may look at affordability and this will have an impact but by the same thread it doesn't exist if I am not working.

So do I ignore or put it in and enclose copies of my p60/wage slips?

Just to be clear - do you no longer require the childcare?

I genuinely don't know. If I am employed (ie not made redundant) then I need it - but this is against my salary and they are not taking it into account.

If I am made redundant I don't need it.

Childcare is less than 30% of my salary, but without them looking at my salary (and they are not as I am at risk) it looks like the outgoings are a lot.

Sorry I am aware this may not make sense even as I am typing

When you say risk of redundancy does that mean you're on consultation and it's highly likely that you will be made redundant?

If not, why not declare both salaries and list all outgoings (and incomings) as it stands at this moment?

They won't assume the childcare will stop if your employment stops. It's logical but they deal in fact. You should have used your income unless you have been given notice of redundancy.

I have not been given notice but fairly sure that the funding won't be there. Too late to add my income now, I'll just have to add this as a commitment and hope it doesn't impact too much as I guess I am also a dependant too.
