santander- any help appreciated

my husband has been making reduced payments for two years now on a loan taken out before ill health. He has recieved a statement today from them and he owes more now than when he started as santander are adding charges:mad:. At this rate it will never be paid off what if anything can he do?

He could consider asking them to suspend charges, maybe through a debt management plan.
But if you have not asked then you cannot expect them to offer this to you...

Speak to the collections department, explain your situation and ask what they can do to help. Show willingness to pay off what you can and you may reach an agreement.0 -
If he has asked them before and they haven't agreed to then national debtline website has a quite useful template which asks them to reconsider their decision.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
