Care Fee Refunds

So just a quick update, not sure if anyone else caught there was a radio 4 programme about care home fee's.

I only had half an ear on it but though it may help anyone who had questions on where to go:

No, it was our life savings. She didn't have much of her own therefore it was our own savings that we're used to pay for the fees as we did not want to sell her house.
She did require 24hr care but not all of it was nursing.
Why would I contact a solicitors? Are their fees not priced extremely high?

They wouldn't have forced you to sell the house but put a charge on it so when it was sold they got their money. You are now selling the house anyway so what have you gained?
