self-employed keen to move

I'm newly employed and my partner is self-employed. We're keen to move as soon as possible. We'd like to borrow up to £280,000, we have £170,000 deposit. Who should we approach? Will we have to pay over the odds? Ideally we'd like a fixed rate interest only mortgage, with the facility of paying additional amounts towards the capital, we're being cautious as my partner's income varies.

Our income is £32,000 from my job, (which I will have been in for 3 months), £5,000 child support and my partners' income is variable, estimated £30 - £40k this year. My partner is registered and will have one year's accounts, although they will reflect a much lower income for the first year.

We can pay £1500 per month on mortgage repayments.

There are lenders that will lend you money based on the employed income of £32k along with first years accounts and accountants prejection for year 2 of the self employed applicant

Whether or not you will get up to the moaunt requested will depnd on tyour overall situation, however the fact you have a big deposit will go in your favour

I wouldnt think you have a problem at all as long as credit is clean.
