Orange vinegar based spray

Options
I found this tip on Pinterest the other day.

http://pinterest.com/pin/151433606190700864/

I put the peel from just one orange into a small jar and covered it with white vinegar. It has only been in there for about 3 days and smells absolutely delicious, no smell of vinegar at all, just fresh oranges.

I am def going to top up with more orange peel and vinegar, after 10 days it will be fantastic.

I am going to use it as a surface cleaner, does anyone think it would be ok to use it as an air freshener?

The pic below isn't mine, it's from Pinterest.

great idea to save on cleaning products, i think it will be fine as an air freshener too, just pour some of it in a small jar and put some wooden sticks in it so that half of the stick is out of the jar/bootle

I have ordinary (13p @ Tesco) brown vinegar in a small spray bottle, I use it to clean my ceramic hob, my working surfaces, wiped down dry with crumpled newspaper, and in a larger spray bottle to kill weeds ( not in grass ) on paths and in isolation.

It smells of vinegar for a very short while, but leaves everything squeeky clean.

I normally use white vinegar for cleaning hobs etc and it does do the job and as you say, the vinegar smell does fade quite soon. I thought this was worth a try as I had oranges that were about to get binned, glad I didn't bin them now.
