Creditors have not settled paid accounts on my credit file

Hello,

In November I settled all of my outstanding debts with the help of my partner and two creditors, Safe Loans and MEM Consumer finance, still have not settled my accounts, despite me paying them over six months ago.

The one for MEM is particularly damaging as it keeps showing me as late payments. I have emailed and called them and they keep saying it will be resolved but it hasn't - what is the next step, to make them do this for me?

Also, I have an entry from MacKenzie Hall and Lending Stream for the same debt, (MacKenzie hall brought the debt) I just read on here double defaults are not allowed? They both show settled, but can I get one of them to remove their entry?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am keen to repair my rating ASAP as I would like to apply for a mortgage next year and have made all payments to existing credit accounts on time, so am on the right track.

Just to clarify are the late payments showing due to you paying everything off and they are subsequently showing late payments after, and did you get it in writing that everything was settled?

I have got it in writing the accounts are settled and also have my bank statements to show the payments have been made. It says on my credit file that for one payment it was last updated on 6th May 2012 (MEM - showing as six payments late) and the one for Safe Loans is showing as a default, last updated on 1st Jan 2012. Both accounts were settled on 16th November 2011.

Next step with MEM is to put your complaint in writing (proper post not email). Head it up as a complaint.

Regarding the other debt - yes it should only appear on your file once. They should decide between then but a debt collector should not add an entry and default if the creditors entry and default are still on file.
You could write to MH and state that you notice they have incorrectly added this account to your credit report - and they are not permitted to do so when the original creditor's entry remains. State that you require them to remove their entire entry. Probably worth copying in the origianl creditor as well.

You need to go and ask the CRAs about this, provide them proof it's been paid and open a dispute. Also contact the lenders responsible in writing that you give them 28 days to alter the entry otherwise you will go to ICO with a complaint.

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
