Hi, I am the only employee of my ltd company, I'm 57.
I have a stakeholder pension started when I was paye.
I believe that to pay into the pension I must have a salary the same or more than the the amount I wish to pay in to the pension - is this correct?
What is the most efficient way of paying into a pension fund in my situation.

Roughly, yes. You can pay up to 100% of your earnings in to your pension. There is no point in paying any more as you won't get tax relief.

Your company can pay into the stakeholder out of the business funds. If you pay your own contributions too, then the company can top those up to a total of £215,000.
