Got the Windows Update yellow shield in my taskbar today, so I wert ahead with the update, and when it finished, it started all over again, and again, and again. The updates are KB2572073, 2633880 and 2518864. I looked at some solution but they look too technical for me. Anyone else have this problem?

No, I'm certainly not going to mess with the registry, in that case I'll wait till MS come up with a solution.

There should be the option to run it for you , did you use Internet Explorer to get to that page ?

I guess we shall have to sit and wait why oh why do they put these updates out there before testing them  Can we just hide these updates for now and will that get rid of the annoying yellow pop up shield?

They do test them. Unfortunately there are millions of potential PC configurations out there and it is virtually impossible to account for every single one.

If Microsh!t3 had their way, there would be millions of identical clone-like machines out there
How do I add a signature?

They spread their bets by releasing a console. Why bother forcing an IBM PS/2 into a niche it was never designed for when you can derive your own system and call it something else? ;)

Turn off your firewall and possibly anti-virus

They are old updates, and they are for .net and the ball boys are taking their time , they came out about Oct 2011. Oh and turning off your firewall won't help much either. Remove all .Net stuff and then re-run windows update, or try microsoft fixit in post 2
