Working From Home and C.Tax

I have been working from home for roughly the last 2 years but only recently someonementioned to me that i might be able to claim a reduction in my C.Tax as there is no local office for me to work from (my local office used to be in leeds which was a 120 mileround trip now the nearest office is in Bath and i live in E.Yorkshire so thats a bit of a commute)
is this true could i cllaim for a reduction ?

No not on Council Tax

If your home qualifies as a commercial assessment it could affect your CT .
You would then have to pay business rates say on a room in your house and it could conceivably affect the band on your house.
check out the VOA website where they have information on working from home etc
whether you would be better off is another matter0 -
yeah i should have said the above but you probs wont be better off at all lol0
