    The stupid thing is that my wife and I have no credit issues, income multiples are not a problem and the amount we want to borrow is easily manageable, it's just the turn around time.

    We're facing the same with a mortgage application with Leeds Building Society. They're really slow at the moment and every time they request an additional piece of info it adds another 3 days or so on to the wait time. It's really frustrating because we want to know we've got the mortgage so we can warn our landlord that we'll be moving out.

    I definately feel for you because we are getting frustrated because we just want a decision one way or the other.

    Then why use Ipswich as their rates are not market leading?
