Making and Selling Bird Boxes

I am thinking of making and selling bird boxes. Do you think there could be a market in them. I am looking to do pretty ones, not plain.

Thanks

Market, yes. Limited, probably, as already similar products available, it's an easy DIY item, not everyone loves our feathered friends and many people don't have gardens.

    Will the birds appreciate "pretty".

You could expand on that and do bird tables, insects homes etc

Could you offer a USP? Perhaps a something for those who dont have gardens or those who live in flats or comunity accomodation where the garden is shared and residents dont have a private patch as such? Or how about wooden garden decorations or furniture? Just a thought to try and help.
Failure is only someone elses judgement.

Where you sell them will matter as much as what kind you try to sell. If you are really good at woodwork and have the space I found in a former life that garden planters and dove coats did better, especially in the summer if you fill them with geraniums - which are easy to grow once you know how - but overall, location of sale made the biggest difference. Good luck
