Vanquis Balance

Anyone know if Vanquis will allow me to close my account and pay off my balance monthly without extra interest being added? Some sort of payment plan?

I've stupidly ran up a balance on the card when I shouldn't have due to the high interest rate. Now my circumstances have changed and I can only afford to pay the minimum off each month. Which will be endless due to the amount of interest being added each month too.

You can ask them to close the account which will freeze any interest rate rises, but you will not be able to obtain extra credit. Sadly, what you did is entirely within the terms of your agreement with them, and you knew what you were doing - unless you are in default and there is reason to believe that you won't/can't repay on the terms you signed up to, it is unlikely that they will do much to help.

Save every penny you can and throw it at this debt or see if you can move it to a cheaper card, if you have one.

I'm not in default with them. My minimum monthly payment is around £100 with £70 of that being interest.

I just want it paid off and closed for good.
