We had the same problem with a camcorder we bought from Comet last year.
We found out it was 50 quid cheaper online (the day after we bought it).
Hubby took it back and explained and they gave him a refund without any hassle.
They even put our reason for returning as buying online as cheaper as a reason on the return receipt.
good luck!0 -
If the Product is unopened, You should be able to take it back to Comet within 28 Days for a refund. Dixons & PC World etc do this and I'm sure Comet do too (This isn't consumer law but just good Customer service policy's from the Company's)0

dont comet do a 7day price promise? or is that currys? Alternatively try to "find something wrong with it" and return it as faulty.ummm...0

If it has already been opened and used I would suggest you run it over hubby's wallet to remove all his cards...the silly boy!0

Thanks folks for your replies, and Snowyowl for your suggestion LOL I was very amused by that :-)
Hubby went back to Comet explained the price difference we had found, they said "tough" basically. Will keep trying though! and looking for reasons to return teh damn thing!Bargainbelle :T0 -
Comet website states the following; sounds like the second statement is maybe for shop bought things??
A full refund or, if preferred, exchange of equal value is guaranteed for customers returning products within 7 days of delivery when purchased through the website or call centre.

this won't be much help, but was in comet today and noticed the returns policy on grounds of price matching excludes online offers. However I was returning a toaster which I'd bought Saturday but forgot to bring receipt and they refunded me simply on the grounds of 'I didn't like the look of it when I got it out of the box' So if you haven't used it try again, perhaps you need to kick up a bit of a fuss at customer services or demand to see the manager.
Good Luck.

We got our Dyson dc07 from Comet online 3 years ago even then it was £50 cheaper than in store. I cant see how any retailors can justify the extra costs involved.
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
Comet have agreed to match their online price :j and refund me £65 :j :j so now I am happily hoovering everything in sight with my new Dyson DC14 for £234.97 rather than £299.99 :rotfl:Bargainbelle :T0
