Letter received about court proceedings help

Having made a verbal offer of monthly payment to credit card company I never heard anything else now I have received a letter saying court proceedings will be made unless I pay in full on the next week I am so scared please help ! ?

Do you have property with equity?
Probably best to remake your offer in writing.

It's a credit card that was took out about 10 years ago the last payment was a year ago it's now been taken up by this debt recovery firm
We have a mortgage abd I assume there is equity ?
I don't want to lose my house ?0 -
Has there been any gap between the payments ?

When you made this verbal offer did you start making the payments that you verbally offered.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

No I haven't made any payments to them they said they would get back to me with an answer regarding my offer but nothing happened !
In the past no payments were missed as far as I know0
