Fresh Start Finance AVOID!!

I can't put across how frustrated I am with these bunch of Idiots calling me every single day when I am at work!!

Everytime I answer my phone there opening gambit is 'It's just a quick call from Fresh Start Finance, there is nothing to worry about today' I bloody know there is nothing to worry about pal as there is nothing wrong with my finances!! I have told them repeatedly to stop calling and take me of whatever list they have and they are like 'Yes sir no problem' for a week or two then guess what, start again and when I don't answer the number started changing from 0161 codes to 07837 numbers, so today I thought I would speak to this guy once and for all, Now I have a credit rating of 999 because I regularly check my Credit expert account but apparently this guy knows more than me, I have been applying and being turned down for loans and I have a very low credit score, news to me buddy! Needless to say i got really agitated and this guy just argued back with me, great customer service, I told him to F- off in the end as I really lost my temper. This is bordering on harassment and I know it's just a phone call but I am just worried about more vulnerable people been taking into getting something they don't ned and from what I here from them they are bad news!!

I am looking forward to a phone call the same time tomorrow probably, I don't know where else I could make a complaint about them but if anyone else has had the same treatment maybe they could make a suggestion on how to stop this!!

I just had exactly the same experience. The guy was so rude and pushy, and when I said I wasn't interested in what they were offering, he told me that I was clearly unable to handle my finances because I'd recently applied for a loan. I couldn't believe my ears. Actually, I'd just transferred some existing debt to a 0% credit card, because yes I have existing debt, but I am in control of it!

I told him he had no right to make such judgements and try and scare me into taking a loan. He said ok fine, can I call you in a few months and see how you're getting on?

Er no, you charmless excuse for a human being, you cannot.

phil01642, I don't know how to stop them unfortunately. They also call me constantly, it's driving me mad. You can try registering with the Telephone Preference Service, although I've already done so, and it hasn't made a difference to this horrendous company.

Say 'I'm Catholic' (insert whatever religion you like).

They don't have a script for that it's highly amusing, as you can hear the silence as they try to use their brain.

You need to make a complaint to the ICO and prossibly copy in trading standards as well.

If you are registered with the TPS already (before they started calling you) you could also complete a complaint on their website - http://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/

Thanks you for your reply, sounds like we have spoken to the same guy, I can't believe people can speak to you in that manner, nere mind a company. This company is a discrace, absolutely ruthless and I would beg anyone not to use them! As i said some people can stick up for themselves but a lot of people will be suckered into it and it is really worrying. I was thinking about contacting the FSA or something like that and seeing if they could do anything about it. Thanks for your advice.

I've been getting tortured by them for months - they now only call me from a mobile number (different ones). Every time I ask them to take me off their list they just put the phone down - rude isn't the word

Received the same phone call again this morning, though Ill answer it out of curiosity after how I left it yesterday. A new guy nice as pie unfortunately I had to cut him short of his speech to explain that I told his colleague yesterday to F- Off and he said that was nice of me. He asked if I had received phone calls from them before. urhh just every single day for the last month! He said he would try take me of they system, I very much doubt he will and I will speaking to them tomorrow. MUPPETS!!!!
  • Just thought I would give you all an update, Still receiving the phone calls everyday unless I actually answer and sternly tell them I am not interested then I get 2-3 weeks of not being bothered before they start up again. I had a particularly heated phone call with some one who told me basically I needed there help and I was in really trouble with my finances and that i was lying to him when I said I didn't, he also told me that I cant be working full time and I am struggling with with money otherwise he wouldn't of got my details. I honestly wish I could of recorded the conversation as I would of sued the !!! of this company!!

ALL I ASK IS PLEASE DO NOT EVER SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE AND AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
