Question for MrsDrink (or any other mac users)

MrsD I 'think' it was you who recommended Mac makeup, if not apologies and anyone else who can help feel free :)

I'm looking at changing my makeup and MrsD (or someone on here) recommended Mac, so I've called up and got a make over booked for 16th June as I have a wedding to go to that night.

All was going fine, chatting on phone etc, paid for the make over then just as we were ending the conversation she said 'oooo you'll have so much make up on you'll feel fab'. Now i've put the phone down i'm thinking 'so much make up'?????? does she trowel it on. Does she mean primer, concealer, foundation etc or is it clown-like? I'm hoping to go out with it on and now I feel

Can anyone tell me they've had it done and it's not tooooooo bad, please?
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

:) I have had it done and it wasn't caked on. My friend also had it done and she just had tinted moisturiser on. The one thing I would say it make it clear what you want from them. (i.e. natural - hardly anything on etc).
Have fun!! I did!! :) and I've slowly bought everything bits and bobs they used... next I want are some decent brushes like theirs.

I'm the opposite... not more about macs than make up!

I did have a nosey on their site and some reviews. I had decided to do my own make up for the wedding but may go and do a trial now just to see :)

I loved my MAC makeover! Go in there with some idea of what you want -- matt or sheen etc. I said I wanted matt and natural but a bit more dramatic than every-day make up, so had primer and foundation as a base then 4 eyeshadows, 3 types of eyeliner, etc etc! I felt fab afterwards. I practised quite a bit and felt confident on the day and were really pleased with how it came out on the photographs.

Unfortunately it turned me into a MAC addict and I now wear a lot of the items every day... Enjoy it!
