Afternoon all,

Just wondered how often people receive surprise wins,

I have received 2 cd's from Smooth that i had no previous notifications about so that was a nice treat,

But how often have they happened to you and anyone received anything massive?

Don't know if you would call it massive but last year I received an ipad which was a great surprise and still do not know who sent it.

Also received a cheque for £1512 from Morrisons/Fairy athough I had no notification I had won it did come with a letter to let me know who I had won it from.

i probably get surprise wins more than i get WEMs and ive only had two winning phone calls in all my year and 3 months comping

its great getting a surprise win, its hard thanking the person though if theres no note lol

i had a really good pentax camera turn up as a surprise last year, had things like books, DVDs, skin care things etc turn up as well

I think surprise wins are the best, you've had a hard day at work, the bus is late but you get home and there's a parcel waiting for you! My best one was an Elizabeth Shaw hamper early last year. I keep track of all the comps I enter online and I couldn't find a record of it. I think it was from a Take a Break special issue but there was no note. I don't get why promoters wouldn't put a short letter in though to be honest.

I don't get many surprise wins but got an Oral B electric toothbrush in the post today. No note and I can't find the same one anywhere on MSE so total mystery

I have had quite a few suprise wins but nothing major just books and cds although most have had some form of compliments.

Last week i got a email about a dvd win saying they were sorry but they had run out of stock and asked if they could substitute if for something else and would also send another title as way of an apology.
I hadnt even been notified of the win! Dvd's came the next day.

I dont understand these promotors who send out large prizes like 50" tvs without notifying the person that they have won! :rotfl:

I would say 90% of my wins are surprise wins - i love them makes my walk home from work fun wondering what my be waiting on the mat for me

All of mine just turned up except for an email about a dvd i won and a facebook message about the floor I won. I love surprise parcels!

I think I get mainly WEMs, but have had some surprises, including an M&S hamper just before last Christmas. It had Microsoft goodies in it as well. It's definitely the best when something unexpected just turns up - unless it's double glazing salesmen :rotfl:

One Christmas my son asked for a DSi but I had already bought his presents and couldn't afford anything else. Then about 4 or 5 days before Christmas the postman knocked with a parcel, and there was a new DSi inside. A Christmas miracle!:D

Not considered a massive win- but I had an xbox360 elite arrive out of the blue just before xmas - 3 years ago now - just had a compliments slip in from zavvi.
very exciting!

Other items that have arrived in the years since unexpectedly are make up, kids toys, dvds, an ipod shuffle and legoland family passes.

nothing in past 6 months as have only just returned to comping!
