Nationwide Flexible mortgage - any experience?

This looks like the best deal I can find for my situation, but being a first time buyer, I have no experience to draw on.

Can any customers comment on:
1. Free conveyencing - this seems to include just the basic cost but not searches etc. Do they overcharge for all the other required work, and do the do things in a reasonable time frame or drag their heels?
2. How is customer service, I've only spoken to one representative so far who was good, though despite me specifically asking, she was wrong about what the free legal included, she thought it covered everything.
Anything else I should watch out for?
Thanks!

can't comment on the conveyancing but i will say nationwide have always given me very good customer service, annoyingly though there free phone number no longer works so you may have to go through 08457 if you are phoning
their online banking is easy to use and in branch service is good as well
i have my mortgage with them as well as a flexaccount and a basic savings for when i need money kept in a place for a short period of time with easy access
i wouldnt use them for i.s.a's or anything as you can get a much better rate elsewhere and santander may be cheaper for their mortgages etc ... but i personally will stick with nationwide as their customer service is good
good luck in your new home0 -
Thanks for the reply. It's good to know you are happy with the service.
