I phoned them two weeks ago to secure a new deal as my fixed was ending basically they sad if i paid the new payment from a santandar bank acct they could offer me 3.79 with no fees, i applied and opened up a santandar acct to pay from, they were due to phone me yesterday and didnt for me to tell them the new acct number etc and set everything in place, I just phoned them and was told that we cant offer you the new rate for approx two months until the bank acct is up and running i said i wasnt told this and that i was far from impressed and that obviously their rates may well increase in that time even thou i was told that it would be secured immediately the new bank acct was activated. Im waiting on a call back from a manager. They said its to stop people from getting the rate then immediately closing the bank acct.
Can see me giving them both barrels as well
