Mackenzie hall/marshall hoares/NDR help needed please

Morning everyone,
I would like your advise please :),

Now i am on my own ( out of rubbish relationship ) i have sat down and been addressing my finances/debts with help from you guys on here :T.
I had a payday loan  (quick quid) that after obtaining my credit report looks like i had been passed on to MACKENZIE HALL on my credit file this defaulted in 07/2010 and the monthly status is showing SD ( what does SD mean please)
The problem i have is that i have been paying this loan back to MARSHALL HOARES/NDR/TOOTHAIRY but they are not showing up on credit file only M HALL???.
The original loan was for £262 ( this is what is showing i owe mackenzie hall) .I have paid £131 to marshall hoares and they want anouther £131 to clear the loan.
I am confused as who is collecting and who do i pay ??
Thankyou for reading , ::(

  • Hi Anna

What does your last letter/email say?

the SD I just think they maybe trying to scare you?
it comes up as statutory demand issued under the insolvency act 1986

more in this link but I'm confused (it doesn't take a lot!)

Have you reported this nasty lot to the OFT (Office of Fair Trading)
Do it pronto if you haven't, and then see if you can get professional help

Report them for what? The op hasnt said they have done anything
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

    Just had a thought...

OP said this was regarding QuickQuid but the second one mentioned was Toothfairy - two different loan companies?!

    Maybe I am just confused...

With respect, Nothing like trying to help empower someone actually!

Why do you think these 'consumer' forums exist, why is there a Citizens Advice service etc -

Anna - nobody on here is judge & jury and according to CCCS debt collecting agency have no powers whatsoever and with making payment/s you are actually stengthening yourself somewhat regardless of who the debt is now with
Hope you can get to the bottom of it, do as the other poster suggests contact original creditor for clarification and take it from there - I have heard of QQ using a variety of DCA's but hey what do I know obviously! :o

    Hi
If I were you I would email QQ and ask them to confirm what you owe and if they have sold/passed the debt on. I did that and they replied nothing and no so when MH came a knocking I told em to go forth and multiply.
MH are a real bunch of !!!!!! who should be seen off easily,
Are you 100% sure that they are not separate loans, toothfairy are even worse.
My suggestion is, email(or write) to QQ, MH and Marshall and ask for a statement of account and clarification of the details of the debt. If your credit file is showing a default, your credit score is screwed anyway so for now maybe stop paying.
If you look at some of my recent posts you may get some other ideas. I have a horrible feeling there is more than one debt here

I would get a copy of your credit report...<<this should be your start point as currently you are looking for a light switch in the dark.
switch the light on get your report and then you have a start point and what you are dealing with. As another poster has said I think this might be just scratching the surface.

you have 1 credit file but there are 3 agencies and they don't always report the same debts.
