Santander default - no response to letters

Hi people,
i have written to Santander few times and have had no response whatsoever to my letter asking them to provide evidence of default by supplying original paperwork or removing it.
This was default on current account.
I'm annoyed now as i want to apply for a mortgage but they dont seem to be helpful.
Any ideas on how i can speed this up?

What was the circumstances? Did you not repay an overdraft on demand?
They should have issued a letter at the time but as I know, they are useless.
Try the official complaint route, registered post, that usually works.I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

They don't have to supply the original paperwork, just show that they've made a note on your account that it was sent.
If the default was factually recorded you'll have a struggle getting it removed.0 -
Try a formal complaint or a subject access request. Maybe both. You can email the complaint. Just google Santander complaints.:beer:0
