Diary of <3, aged 25 and three quarters

I've been reading a lot of other diaries on here and finally thought it was time to start my own.

So, a bit about me. I'm 25, work full time, study for a masters part time, have an OH 28 and a pup aged 4. Between me and OH, we have the debt in my signature. And, at the moment, only I have a steady job so we're watching the pennies as best we can.

I had today off to do some studying for an exam on Monday, but have spent the time clearing up our flat and looking for things to eBay instead. Oops!

Even if I'm the only one that ends up reading this, I'm hoping it will help keep us in check so we can build up some savings for a hopefully-one-day wedding, baby and move out of London!

Well, revision's going slowly.

Having a bad weekend money-wise. OH managed to spend £150 on a dirty video yesterday (don't ask). And I just asked him to pop out for some potatoes and he spends £7.40 and fails to buy any potatoes. Given that the only things left on the meal plan this week are pie & mash and potato bake this could be interesting. Have put some rhubarb in the slow cooker to make a crumble later so maybe that will be tea. Men!

Hello, and thank you!

OH has come a long way since we met three and a half years ago (the debt collection agency in my sig is a hangover from his younger days). But because I'm in charge of all our bills etc, I still don't think he quite comprehends our budget. Carry on with baby steps I suppose, and hope he gets it eventually.

Well maybe the video should come out of his spends because £150 (regardless of content) is ridiculous. I don't mind my OH viewing stuff like that because it's a bloke thing but I'd go mad if he spent that much on it.

Exam went ok in the end, back at work the rest of this week.

I'm moving teams soon, so I have the jubilee week off which I absolutely cannot wait for. Want to get some new summer clothes for work but no idea what style I want to go for or even what suits me really.

Did the weekly shop for £45ish which wasn't too bad, but we succumbed to a Chinese last night so I really need to get us back on the straight and narrow.
