Help required on a default please! :)

Hi all,

I have a question regarding a default that was placed on my credit history whilst at university.

Basically, I defaulted on a credit card (£297) whilst at university in 2006 and after recently checking my experian credit report I am confused about the actual date of the default.

On experian it says that the "default date" is 2006 but the "account updated to" says 2009.

I understand that it takes 6 years for the default to be removed. Can anyone shed any light as to when this will definitely be removed from my history?

Many thanks!

It will definitely be removed 6years after the default date as shown on the file.
Later updates are just that - updates to state what current balance is outstanding etc.
