E:01/04/07 win Bad Mother’s Handbook DVD (hallam)

Catherine Tate, Anne Reid and Holly Grainger appear in the television adaptation of Kate Long’s number one best selling novel The Bad Mother’s Handbook.

The Bad Mother’s Handbook takes a look at family life in a house of three generations; Karen (Catherine Tate), Charlotte (Holly Grainger) her teenage daughter and ‘Nan’ (Anne Reid).

Karen is having a bit of an early mid-life crisis and she feels that her life has been a bit of a disappointment. She’s divorced and living in a cluttered ex-council house. So, when her boss Leo, offers her the chance to go on a school trip to Paris, she jumps at the chance to get away, even if it is just temporary.

However things don't go to plan when Karen goes to sort out her passport she finds out a life-changing discovery. She is adopted. As you would expect thirty-something Karen doesn’t really know what to do. And when Charlotte annouces she thinks she is pregnant and Nan has a fall, everything seems to be going wrong around her.

Karen forgets about Paris and the trip she had been looking forward to, and heads off to London in search of her biological mother and a better life...hopefully.

A Bad Mother’s Handbook is now available to buy from ITV DVD with an RRP of £12.99.
